Even at the OS level, the OS will have to offer NAT for IPv4 applications

previously written. When an IPv4 application asks to resolve a name which refers to an IPv6 endpoint, they will have to return an address in the 10.x.x.x range that is then mapped for the life of the application to the correct IPv6 address.
