Sorry, but the vast majority of content on the web is NOT user generated, especially not on YouTube or Google.
Google indexes sites run by for-profit organizations-- trying to capitalize that content, much like ZDNet. YouTube is a bunch of copyright videos being searched by freeloaders with too much time on their hands. The bottom line is, the stuff with the most views is either viral, or copyright of some for-profit organization. That holds true of the web, Google, YouTube, Yahoo and the others.
The one exception is Facebook. And even there, someone else is profiting from the ignorance of the masses.
