The last line hammers the propaganda home:
"Both extremes of the debate don?t want to settle. In the real world, there are compromises."
It's like someone walks up to you out of the blue and threatens to kill you. When you say "no, I can't get behind that" the assailant replies with "OK, alright. I'll just chop off your arms and legs". Resolute, you again say "no" at which point the would-be mutilator responds with righteous indignation saying "Hey, I'm not the bad guy here. I'm *compromising*. You need to get off your high horse and meet me halfway!"
And I thought the BBC was bad!
