These moves make the Twitter service much better for many reasons, but the Twitter company a bully, because it is destroying an already thriving market for many.
Of course, new services can now be built to provide data mining based on Twitter stats, but I doubt usages data will be public and Twitter may only sell it. If this happens, Twitter will become a better investment option and, well, an even bigger bully.
