Mainstream media still hasn't learned

They assume that there are some kind of "rules" to the internet much like the rules of conduct agreed to by newspapers and TV networks. There are none. There are conventions and fads, which are never set in stone but continue to evolve. They are established by the people who read, believe, disbelieve, reply, subscribe, forward, re-blog, or ignore what's blogged or tweeted on the internet, not by the writers or publishers.

While I don't necessarily agree with Wise's actions, I also think the Post overreacted and that they should give Wise some credit for trying. So many other journalists are just clueless.
