The moral seems to be that the Washington Post had credibility with the writer, which Twitter alone has not. The experiment did not prove that "there is legitimacy that exists on Twitter", only that it exists on the old media, and Twitter is able to damage it.
Twitter _based_ legitimacy remains as unlikely as ever.
