@putty.master ... Comes preloaded on a number of high-end storage arrays that Dell, HP, and other major OEM's sell not something you just go out and buy on your own, which means you're really paying for the storage array more than the software.
That said, the whole point of WSS is more for environments that for, whatever reasons-- good or bad-- like to be standardized on their infrastructure. I happen to be one of those businesses.
