Not to mention slow. Despite improvements in the VM, being slow is still a #1 reason people cite when they decide not to use it. Whether it's really still true or not, I don't know, but they *never* got rid of their reputation for being slow.
The question now is, what happens to all of that Java code still out there? Java has a huge installed base, and there's a lot of apps that use it.
