My Google Profiles have those long strings of numbers. I must have done something wrong when I set them up. Or I broke them when I just did them in response to this. I think I will want to use that shortening service, or another one, although I think your critiques are valid. I would prefer not to have my Google Profile/Plus URL to be that domain name that does not roll off the tongue so easily.
