Telstra has this morning finally revealed its iPhone 4S pricing ahead of the device's launch on Friday.

The carrier announced that it would carry all variants of the new iPhone 4S in both black and white from 16GB up to 64GB and will begin taking pre-orders online from today.

Telstra announced that the iPhone 4S would be available across its range of Freedom Connect plans, starting from $59 per month with unlimited text, $550 worth of included calls and 1.5GB of eligible data. An iPhone 4S 16GB on the $59 plan will cost an additional $4 per month over 24 months, with a 32GB costing $8 per month over 24 months and the 64GB model costing an additional $13 a month over 24 months.

Telstra's full pricing schedule is in the table below.

The carrier also announced this morning that it would carry the iPhone 4 8GB model across all of its Freedom Connect plans — ranging from $59 to $129 per month — for no additional charge.

Warwick Bray, executive director of Telstra Mobile, said he is excited to be able to offer the new handset on Telstra's network.

"We're delighted to bring the highly anticipated iPhone 4S to our customers on Australia's largest and fastest national mobile network. We know customers will love the speed and coverage available on the Telstra Mobile Network as they enjoy all the new features of iPhone 4S," he said.

Telstra will also open all of its company network stores early for the launch, shunning the typical midnight launch it favoured for the iPhone 4.

Carrier competitors Vodafone and Optus this week also announced prices for the iPhone 4S, with Vodafone offering the 16GB iPhone 4S with no added monthly repayment on a $59 plan over 24 months. Meanwhile, Optus offers the 16GB iPhone 4S for an additional $19 per month over 24 months. Full pricing for both Vodafone and Optus is listed in the table below.

Apple yesterday announced in the US that demand for the iPhone 4S had seen 1 million devices pre-ordered in the first day alone.
