It's the 6th day of the 6th month in the 6th year of the millennium. Most of us would recognize that as a symbol of the antichrist, or more commonly described as the mark of the beast.

Coincidentally--or not, as some might argue--the number 666 is also what you'll get if you convert the letters of "Windows 95" using the ASCII chart and add up the values. Do the same for the name of Microsoft's chairman "Bill Gates III"--from his full name William Henry Gates the Third--and you'll get 666 again.

But while the number may mean ominous tidings for some, it denotes better things for others willing to fork out a fortune--to the tune of US$2.8 million, to be precise- just to acquire it. According to the Kuwait News Agency, mobile phone number 6666666, was auctioned off for a reported 10 million Qatari riyals (US$2.8 million)--making it the world's most expensive phone.

Also, did you know that the first Apple I personal computer came with a US$666.66 price tag?

What does the day mean for me? I'm driving just a tad more carefully today.
