ICANN coordinates all the Internet's naming, addressing and protocol systems, and it accredits domain name registrars. For a list of more than a thousand active registrars worldwide, visit www.icann.org/en/registrars/accredited-list.html. For a list of top-level domain names, such as .com and .net, see Internet domain name.
IANA (Internet Assigned Numbers Authority)
IANA is the ICANN operating unit that maintains the official repositories of data and function definitions pertaining to domains, addressing and protocols (see IANA). See IGF and how to register a domain name.
