Definition: ICS
(1) (Ice Cream Sandwich) See Android versions.
(2) (Internet Connection Sharing) A Windows feature that enables the Internet connection on a computer to be shared with other computers. First introduced in Windows 98 Second Edition, sharing is accomplished using the network address translation method (see NAT). Although it is more common to use a router to give multiple computers Internet access, ICS software accomplishes the task without a router.
(3) (Internet Chess Server) A server that allows people to play chess over the Internet. ICS input and output is normally text, but XICS provides a graphical interface. See XICS.
