Definition: PlaysForSure
A certification program from Microsoft for media devices. It ensures that portable media players, digital media hubs and digital media servers are in compliance with and support Windows Media formats, Microsoft's digital rights management (DRM) and the mandatory requirements of the Digital Living Network Alliance (see DLNA). The "PlaysForSure Windows Media" logo was superseded by the "Certified for Windows Vista" and "Certified for Windows 7" logos.
