This week ZDNet Australia ventures to the Gold Coast in Queensland for one of Australia's largest security conferences, organised by the Australian Computer Emergency Response Team (AusCERT).

We'll take our video cameras and journalists to provide you with the best coverage possible, including daily video wrap-ups from the event. It's sure to be a cracker, with speakers such as the co-inventor of public key cryptography Whitfield Diffie, and president and co-founder of the Tor Project, Roger Dingledine, speaking at the event, amongst others.

Judging by the agenda, likely themes that will unfold at the conference include the "cloud" and what it means for security professionals, as well as what the wonderful world of "Web 2.0" will mean for staff in the workplace.

"There appear to be a lot of new delegates set to attend this year, and we welcome the opportunity to put our audience in touch with some really first-class speakers," AusCERT 2010 conference chair, Mark McPherson, said in a statement.

This year's AusCERT conference follows the government in November last year launching an in-depth Cyber Security Strategy for the nation, supported by a new Computer Emergency Response Team that rivals the existing AusCERT organisation.

So keep an eye on ZDNet Australia from today, where we'll provide daily coverage until Wednesday. The AusCERT conference program can be viewed on the conference website.
