in brief A "hardware issue" has caused some Uecomm internet services in Brisbane to experience packet loss and latency.

A spokesperson for the Optus subsidiary, which provides broadband telecommunications services to big business, said that there had been a network fault which was hardware-related, but was not able to provide any more specific information.

Technicians were currently on site fixing the problem, according to the spokesperson, who said that it should be fixed soon. There was no specific restoration time available.

No customers' internet service was completely down, the spokesperson said. Those affected would be experiencing delays transferring information over their service.
