An iPad stand using only the gadget's packaging
If you want a stand but don't want to spend time or money on one, use the iPad's packaging. Take the cardboard element which protects one of the sides in the box, cut it in half, and cut a notch at the desired angle to hold your tablet. Once complete, you have a free stand.

An iPad bed stand
A second variation for an iPad stand using sugru, if you want to catch up on television shows or film in bed but don't want to hold a tablet for a long time, a DIY wall mount could be a good solution. You'll need an old iPad backcover, a retro table lamp, a desk clamp, sugru and screwdriver. After separating the "head" part of the lamp shade and wiring from the arm, you need to attach the shade joint to the back of the iPad cover by using sugru. Next, attach the arm to the back of the iPad, and make sure the table clamp is firmly secured to a bed head board. Once secure, slot the lamp's arm in to it.

An iPad guitar
It might not be the most traditional instrument in the world, but one rather large and involved hack transforms an iPad into a guitar. As shown in the video below, by merging the tablet together with other components, you can create a guitar-shaped synthesizer capable of making some interesting sounds.
