    First of all, nice to see the comment system no longer throws away non-ASCII characters. However, I think they should bring back downvotes. Flagging is supposed to be (I thought) for complaining about spam, abuse, that kind of thing, yet some people are clearly using it on postings they simply don't like. If we have upvotes, why not downvotes? Keep the flagging as well, but add a pop-up confirmation that asks you to type in a reason; this should reduce the incidence of spurious flagging. I'm sure the moderators would appreciate that!
