Users can now share directly from Google Drive to Google+

Google has made a number of updates to Drive and Docs over the last few days, most of which really boost the possibilities for work-related collaboration.

While these updates will be available to enterprise customers as well, the most notable addition is the support for sharing directly from Google Drive to Google Plus.

Essentially, all a person has to do is share a link to a Google Drive file with his or her Circles. From there, users will be able to directly access and open PDFs, presentations, video files and more. People in those Circles can also respond directly in their Google+ stream.

It's pretty straightforward, but it really makes collaboration and sharing for active Google users. It also just connects yet another link in the overall Google empire when trying to sell the platform to enterprise customers.

The Mountain View, Calif.-based company also gave a boost to Google Docs for quicker access and document creation.

The research pane, a toolbar that allows people to search across their stuff (i.e. Picasa photos, Google+ posts, etc.) is now available in presentations and drawings in addition to documents.

This also offers potential for accessing relevant information to add into documents and presentations faster, possibly without much work involved at all.

Both of these updates have already been rolled out.
