The Victorian government's shared services agency CenITex has appointed Dimension Data (DiData) and McAfee to provide a threat and vulnerability management (TVM) product.

CenITex is responsible for the delivery of the Victorian government's ICT infrastructure and desktop shared services, supporting 10 of the 11 Victorian departments and two of its agencies.

The arrangement covers gateway content filtering, endpoint protection for servers, desktops and network and vulnerability assessment. It will help the organisation to provide better ICT threat and vulnerability management to its customer government departments and agencies.

Dimension Data will provide the human resources and processes — such as design, implementation, consulting and project management — while McAfee will provide the security product and framework, as well as technical support.

Dimension Data has been providing CenITex with services since the centre's inception in 2008. McAfee has also had previous arrangements with CenITex, but in a smaller capacity.
