The launch of Windows Vista will create a huge opportunity for Linux vendors to take a larger share of the corporate desktop market, according to the president of Linux Australia.

In this one minute clip, which was shot on the first day of the Linux.conf.au in Sydney, the president of Linux Australia, Jonathan Oxer, told ZDNet Australia that instead of retraining staff on the new version of Windows, administrators could make the switch to Linux.

Oxer also compared Microsoft's development cycle with that of the open source community and gave his opinion on why Vista is simply an "incremental change" compared to Windows XP.
