The interviewer asking Bill the question is really RUDE! He's reading his cards, looking for his next question, not even paying attention to what Bill is saying!!

I had the same impression as you when I was watching the interview. The interviewer was very rude and unprofessional. He probably didn't prepare very well for the interview if he had to shuffle thru his cards during Bill Gates' answer. Also, Bill Gates was gracious enough to ignore the interviewer's behavior and give his best answer.

See as Bill couldn't imagine life 20 years ago when he said
there was "no future in the internet", you'll forgive me if I
take anything he says now about 20 years time with a pinch
of salt. A LARGE pinch of salt.

So, is Bill Saying that if it cost more than 2,000 for a procedure to keep him alive he would rather die? Or is he saying his live is worth more than others?

What he's saying is that we can save lives much more effectively by spending about $2K average per life, while the current US health system might spend upwards of $1M per person, which although every life is priceless, we can't argue that you can save more lives if it costs a lot less per person. The US doesn't have an infinite amount of money, so it makes sense to maximize the use of the money to save the highest number of lives.

more lives? They're trying to get rid of people these days.
Also, there's people who think overpopulation is a problem.
