While RIM spent their time over the years building infrastructure -Apple built an eco-system.

RIM doesn't get it, its app world enables people to download Blackberry apps from a central location. So what! The user interface seems to be an after thought for RIM.

The iPhone on the other hand has changed the way people behave and think. 25,000 apps and counting means RIM will always be starving for app developers and their mind share. Just don't see how RIM could ever close the gap.

I think having to go through PayPal, struggling with the bad
interface and a lack of apps make this an iPhone and iPhone
app 'killer'. Pardon me while I choke laughing.

Apple is prepping the ad blitz on "One Billion App
Downloads"...in less than a year. Bye Bye Blackberry.

I understand users are also having to deal with memory shortages and slower performance as they keep adding apps. Artificially inflating prices by imposing a minimum $2.99 fee (if not free) doesn't help developers or users either.

Even though the (30+) apps I download for my iPhone don't work in the background, it still feels snappy and hasn't had any memory problems. I guess it's a trade-off iPhone users have to make.
