The interesting questions to me are not if Chrome (beta) is ready for prime time (it is not) or which established browser will suffer more (they all will.) Much more interesting is that Chrome has all the trappings of a disruptive technology hiding in plain sight. Established browser vendors may publicly downplay Chrome... but I can guarantee that they are (or at least should be) taking this very seriously.

At this point I am running IE 8 beta on both winxp and vista, very easily. It's good. I tried Chrome. Within less than ten minutes it was BSOD! I don't care what anyone says, including the ass backwards take this blog gave it, a BSOD is not beta level. It should never have come out of the lab in this condition. Maybe next month, I'll give it another try.

haven't heard of BSODs with anyone who's tried it. received very favourably
Everyone who's tried it that I know, likes it, and I haven't heard of anyone getting a BSOD, or read about anyone getting one.
I like it, it seems fine. The security features are very good.
Can't say I notice a lot of speed increase over Firefox 3.1, but I'm looking out for Google Docs as gears applications plus a replicator, that would be very cool.
