Vista Forced Reboot

Why not go into the settings for Automatic Update and select, "Download updates but let me chose to install them". Also you could have it check/install at sometime in the middle of the night so it wouldn't interupt any critical meetings or work.

In the past I have been able to postpone the reboot. I don't know what's wrong with your system.
