Virgin Blue today announced to the Australian Stock Exchange that it had settled with Navitaire out of court, with the two opting to keep the details confidential.

Virgin Blue told ZDNet Australia in a statement today that the dispute would in no way affect the relationship between the airline and the IT outsourcer.

The airline announced in October last year that the 11-day outage had cost the company between $15 million and $20 million of pre-tax profit, which Virgin Blue said it would actively pursue.

Analysts reportedly estimate that the cost of the settlement could be between $18 million and $20 million.
