Viewers learned how technology is being used to help companies become more productive while exposing them to more international competition. 

ZDNet contributor Phil Dobbie hosted the hour-long webinar and looked at how individuals, businesses, and the economy were being influenced by the latest technological trends, and the practical steps businesses could take to improve processes and efficiency.

"How technology drives productivity" is an important webinar for any business concerned about how to face the future competitive regime and the need to drive improvements.

The session's panel featured:

Peter Mercieca, Asia-Pacific head of Telecommunications, Media, and Technology, KPMG

Mercieca has been with the international KPMG network for 24 years, providing a range of audit- and advisory-related services. He currently leads the Australian Telecommunications, Media, and Technology practice, and is KPMG's Media and Telecommunications leader for the Asia-Pacific region. He is also KPMG's lead partner on a major Australian telecommunications provider, and a member of the Communications Alliance board.

Paul Geason, group managing director, Telstra Enterprise and Government

Geason has been with Telstra for more than 15 years, heading up the Wholesale and now the Enterprise and Government business unit. He will share Telstra's own research into productivity, as well as assist with potential solutions.

Ben Vivoda, business manager, Printing Systems, Hewlett-Packard South-Pacific

Ben Vivoda is the business manager of Printing Systems for HP Australia. He is responsible for leading HP's imaging and printing business, including products, supplies, and business printing solutions across consumer, small, and medium business, as well as the enterprise and graphic arts segments for Australia and New Zealand.
