Tune in this week for a Gartner Symposium once over, the latest news on the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement, a run down on the NBN mess in parliament and Ian Reinecke's recommendations for the government's Gershon review implementation.
It's been all systems go this week at ZDNet Australia, with a full team, and lots of news to go around. While everyone rushed down to Darling Harbour to the Gartner Symposium, we also had to make our way to court to see Optus, and to various other activities such as Google's Enterprise and Navigation announcements and the Telstra AGM.
Meanwhile, the pollies were fighting trench war over the NBN.
Of the many choices, this week we've decided to talk about:
- The Gartner Symposium, including Gartner research director Robin Simpson's assertion that chief information officers needed to get some balls.
- The final text for the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement. Was the fear a total beat up?
- All the excitement in the parliament: the telco reform legislation, the defeat of Turnbull's private members Bill and Communication Minister Stephen Conroy's near gagging.
- Ian Reinecke's report on the government's implementation of the Gershon review — the government's report card is in.
Make sure you get two coffees for this one. Tell 'em ZDNet Australia sent ya.
Running time: 22 minutes 56 seconds.
