Metro start screen

Unlike the full-blown Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 Essentials boots up into the Metro Start screen, prepopulated with tiles for the Desktop, IE — and oddly, the Windows Store.

    Given that the storage mechanism for WHS was crap and that loyal users were subsequently deserted when it falied (just like Vista Ultimate users) ... whoever in MSFT thinks people will now port their stuff to a product costing 4 times as much ... needs treatment.

    Can anyone even begin to explain the rationale behind this product from a prosumer or PC enthusiast's point of view?

      If MSFT had any sense of decency then they would offer a $40 upgrade from WHS2011 to WSE2012.
