    Eye In Sky

    Platform: Android

    Price: Free; AU$1.83 (ad-free version)

Over the break, the Android half of the App Wrap sentience discovered this little weather app for Android.

Not only does it look good, but having the current temperature always available at the top of the screen is a handy addition, particularly in the humid summer heat that we are experiencing.

A key to remove the app's ads is also available, but you need to have the free version installed first.

    Claims Buddy

    Platform: iOS, Android

    Price: Free

Last year we found a timely AAMI claim app, and it looks like another insurer is getting in on the app craze in the form of Bingle.

But it only looks that way, Bingle and AAMI share the same Suncorp owner, and the apps look like they have the same functionality.

We prefer the AAMI version, but if garish green is your thing, then this app delivers!

    What Bin Day

    Platform: iOS, Android

    Price: Free

One of the benfits of open data from local governments is the number of apps on offer that can inform you when bin night is.

The What Bin Day app is focused on Brisbane, but also offers coverage for Sydney City, North Sydney, Melbourne City, Cairns City, Perth, Darwin City, and Ipswich City council areas.

For AU$2, the app will unlock the ability to add multiple locations, provide push notifications, and support for other council events, such as kerbside clean up.
