McKinsey Consulting lists the survey results by Travel Industry Association of America. 10% of the travelers in the US can be considered frequent travelers, spending more than three weeks a year in a hotel room. Only 10% of travelers in the US are frequent travelers, but they bring 44% of the revenues. The next group is moderate travelers (40%) who bring 44% of the revenues as well. Half of Americans spend 1-5 nights in a hotel, but as far as the hotel bottom line, they bring in only 12% of the revenues.
