17% of US Internet users have streamed music content

35-54-year-olds are 20% more likely to watch online video than the average Internet user. 25-34-year-olds are 12% more likely than the average Internet user watch a stream online. More than 100 mln users consume online digital media (streams and downloads) in the US in a month, which represents almost 60% of the US online population (97.5 mln computers). Nearly two-thirds of all US Internet users in August 2005 streamed audio or video through a portal and almost 50% did so from an Entertainment site. More than 17% of US Internet users streamed content from a music site and 15% streamed from a retail site, ComScore reports.
