22% of US consumers told Ipsos Insight they plan to buy an MP3 player in the next 3 months, up from 13% from 2004. Digital cameras held steady at 22% for the third year in a row. Portable multimedia devices also caught consumers' attention, with 14% of consumers expressing interest in buying one. Interest in cell phones and personal computers dropped 2005, though at 20% and 21%, respectively, they remain high on wish lists.
