22% of teens think there will be no desktop PCs in 2015

33% of teens surveyed by MIT predicted that gasoline-powered cars will disappear by 2015. Just 16% of adults agreed. 22% of teenagers predicted desktop computers will become obsolete a decade from now, while only 10% of adults agreed. 45% of adults were certain about the demise of the landline telephone by 2015, and only 17% of teenagers. Teens also saw the following world problems being solved by 2015: unclean water (91%), hunger (89%), disease (88%) and pollution (84%). Adults were less optimistic about hunger, with 77% saying technology will play an important role.
