180 mln cameraphones were sold worldwide in 2004, a 130% increase over 2003. 280 mln camera phones are projected to be sold by the end of 2005. Kodak market study found that most camera phone owners find their devices less than satisfying, even though they used the cameras to snap about 70 bln photos in 2004.
