42% of consumers made an appointment with a doctor as a result of seeing an ad in 2005, only 36% did so in 2002, "="" class="c-regularLink" target="_blank" rel="noopener nofollow">according to WPP Group. The percentage of consumers who go online for information about treating ailments has risen to 32% in 2005 from 26% in 2002, while the percentage of medications purchased over the Internet has increased 62% over the past five years.
