The server replacement rate in Europe will rise slowly from 2005 to 2008, and will shift to a dramatic rise of 2.5 mln by 2009, IDC says. The Western European server market contains 5.5 mln units worth 17 bln euros, with HP and IBM products representing 59% of the installed base.
