Five new business units were created in the reshuffle: cloud products, security, mainframe technology, virtualisation and service assurance.

CA has made 13 redundancies across its Australia/New Zealand region during the restructure. The company offered the redundant employees a severance package including assistance with new job placement.

CA Technology's beefed up cloud offerings come from its recent acquisition of 3Tera, a privately-owned cloud computing company in February this year.

Brenton Smith, vice president and area manager of CA Technologies, Australia and New Zealand, said that "today's announcement is a next step in the execution of our strategy".

"All five business unit heads have shown that they have the expertise, energy and ideas to make a significant impact," Smith said.
