One-third of small businesses with capital-spending plans will invest in technology, according to a new survey by American Express. Among those investing in technology, 54% say they'll buy PCs, according to a survey of 773 small-business owners and managers. After PCs, the next largest tech investment among small businesses will be software (36%), printers (28%), servers (15%), peripherals (12%), and PDAs (9%).
