7.7% of US public companies are not Sarbox-compliant

According to the research by Compliance Week and Raisch Financial, 7.7% of public companies in the Russell 3000 Index have failed to be certified under Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 since February 2005.

According to the research by Compliance Week and Raisch Financial, 7.7% of public companies in the Russell 3000 Index have failed to be certified under Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 since February 2005. Of the twenty-seven companies in Computer Hardware & Software category reporting their financials in Q1 2005, 4 failed SOX 404 compliance.
