$984 mln of venture capital invested into 114 wireless startups in Q1-Q3 2005

From the beginning of 2005, 114 wireless-related companies received $984 mln compared to full-year 2004 of 135 companies and $1.1 bln. Two largest deals of Q3 2005 were with wireless-related companies. All Telecommunications investing in Q3 totaled $605 mln in 65 companies; a level similar to Q2 2005. So far in 2005, Telecommunications stands at $1.6 bln and 185 deals making it likely to finish 2005 at a 3-year high point, National Venture Capital Association says.
