After a catastrophic failure (for the second time in a month) of our Panasonic AG-HVX200 video camera (the thing cost us an arm and a leg), I switched over to a different "studio" and finished the remainder of the video using the camera that's built into Matt's MacBook Pro. Matt (Conner) is my multimedia wingman here at ZDNet (actually, he's more of a secret weapon, but don't tell him that).

Anyway, after closing my eyes and taking a few deep breaths, it was time to finish the video for this week's ZDNet Deputy Tester of the Week recruiting session.

This week, I'm looking for someone take a Roadmaster VRBT200V Bluetooth-based hands-free car kit off my hands. It's valued at around $70 and, if you want to see it in action, check out a video review that includes coverage of the product (referred to as the VR3 then) that I did earlier this year.  This is a rechargeable Bluetooth device that supports the Bluetooth's hands-free standard profile for usage with a Bluetooth enabled cell phone.  The user interface and the instructions could be a bit better. On the other hand, once you get used to the various features and how to control them, it gets a little better (there are parts of the UI that still confuse me).  But at least it has a UI.  Another one of the devices I tested in that same video didn't have a display of any sort.

Bluetooth gear seems to be pretty popular which is why we're giving this away.  For more information on how the program works and how you can participate, see the announcement I made about seven weeks ago and make sure you read the rules and regulations.  Then, use the comments area below to tell me why you should be the one we send it to and you end up as our winner. Lastly, no e-mails please. To participate, you must use the comments area below. Thanks!
