It's Christmas time again and this week, for the last Nerdcam of the year, we're getting a little festive by showing you a few ways you can play your own chiptune Christmas carols.
For those of you who don't know, chiptune is a genre of music that synthesises electronic sounds into songs, performed in the style of old video games. Think old-school GameBoy or NES.
There are a variety of ways you can make chiptunes.
You can use emulators, home-brew applications for the Nintendo DS, or go via the hardware route and mod out an old NES or GameBoy. Today, in the interest of time and cost effectiveness, we're going to show you how to do it via a mobile app with an old favourite, "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer".
Watch the video to see if a tone-deaf, talentless nerd can bash out two bars of "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer".
