It's Canada's lucky day as Acer has just announced the debut of the budget-friendly Aspire X3 and Aspire M3 desktop computers.

Each of the latest Acer Aspire computers mentioned here are compact and packed within a "space-saving chassis." The manufacturer has actually managed to pack a lot of decent specs into them. Here's a closer look, and be sure to check out the staggering number of USB ports:

Aspire X3

  • Processor options: AMD Athlon II or Intel Pentium E5500
  • Graphics options: NVIDIA GeForce 9200 or Intel GMA X4500HD
  • Up to 4GB of memory
  • 640GB hard drive
  • Connectivity: Nine USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, PCI Express

Aspire M3 (pictured above)

  • Processor options: Intel Core i3/i5 or AMD Athlon II
  • ATI Radeon HD 5570 graphics
  • Up to 6GB of memory
  • Up to 1.5TB of hard drive space
  • 5.1-channel surround sound with HD audio
  • Connectivity: 12 USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, open PCI and PCI Express

Both the Aspire X3 and Aspire M3 series are available to our neighbors up north immediately, for $449.99 CAD ($436 USD) and $569.99 CAD ($552 USD) respectively. The Acer Aspire desktops were made available in the United States last month.
