Alcatel ADSL choice for France Telecom
France Telecom has chosen Alcatel as the exclusive supplier of ADSL high-speed Internet access for both its residential and its corporate users.
Alcatel has been promised exclusivity on the provision of service until the end of the year following a number of trials across France.
The company will supply, install and commission ADSL equipment for six districts in Paris as well as three further cities in the area. The commercial launch, code-named "Wanadoo Netissimo" is set for November.
