Amazon.com to open more European online shops

LONDON -- Amazon.com (amzn) announced it will launch another European version of its Web site, but it would not immediately identify the country. Amazon.com has British and German online shops now and it has hinted that France would be next. Amazon.com owns the www.amazon.fr address. Joseph Galli, chief operating officer, also named Spain and Italy as possibilities. -- Reuters
