Need some washing powder in a hurry? Amazon is offering its Prime Now one-hour delivery service to customers in some London postcodes. It's the first expansion of the service - which launched in New York late last year - beyond the US.
The Prime Now service offers speedy delivery of over ten thousand items through Amazon's mobile app, which means that Amazon Prime members (membership costs £79 a year) can get basics such as coffee, batteries, and nappies or bigger purchases such games consoles, toys, and sports equipment, delivered to their door in an hour or less.
Users can track the progress of the courier carrying their loo roll or carton of coconut water (there's a minimum £20 spend) via the app too.
The service launches today in 'selected' London postcodes and Amazon said it plans to expand it to reach all of London and additional UK cities by the end of the year. Below is the list of postcodes where the service currently delivers in the centre of the city.
