AMD's market share up 16.1% on CPU market in Q4 2004

In Q4 2004 Advanced Micro Devices raised its market share of the CPU market by 0.1%, reaching 16.1% motly at the expense of its chief rival - Intel Corp., Reuters reports. AMD's market share for server CPUs jumped to 6.1% in 2004, being only 3.5% back in 2003. As far as revenues on the CPU market, Intel managed to maintain higher share with 88%, leaving AMD with 9% of the market revenues.
