Another first for X-Stream
The ISP that kicked off the current free Internet bonanza, X-stream, has claimed another first by announcing plans to deliver its local call rate Internet service across Europe.
From August users will be able to connect to X-Stream anywhere in Europe using a local rate 0845 number. Chief executive of the X-Stream network, Gregory Sukornyk, says, "The European Internet market is crying out for a quality... free service."
Launched in March 1998, X-Stream was the first UK ISP to offer a free Internet service, despite claims from Freeserve that they were the pioneers.
