ANTWERP (ZDNet Belgium)--Microsoft Belgium was hacked late Thursday evening, according to Attrition.org, an independent organization that records hacking incidents.

The message on the defaced site merely said, "BLACK-FUUUUUUUU!- Our style is much better!"

Microsoft discovered the incident at 9.45pm (Belgium time). The domain is only used to redirect visitors to the French and Dutch version of the Belgian site and isn't part of the Microsoft network. The domain is hosted by the Belgian company Guidance.

It is still unknown how the hacking took place. "At this moment we are analyzing the log file," said Luc Casterman, Microsoft Belgium Customer and Partner Loyalty manager, who is also responsible for the Web site.

Casterman finds it remarkable that Attrition.org discovered the intrusion so quickly. "I wonder how they could have found out about the hack on such short notice. As the administrator of the site, I received an e-mail...but I will surely ask them how they discovered it."

According to Attrition.org, there were seven other known defacements of Microsoft servers around the world.
